Ballard Jazz Festival, part 1
Two days, 50 musicians, one nordic fishing village in Seattle... The third annual Ballard Jazz Festival, held November 17-19, was a swinging success. The festival, sponsored by the Ballard Chamber of Commerce and Origin Records, featured a full day of jazz clinics, and two nights of concerts and club gigs. The Seattle Channel spent some time crawing the pubs on Jazz Walk night, listening to music and talking to festival-goers and musicians. We also had an opportunity to talk to festival directors Matt Jorgensen and John Bishop about the history of the event and what's in store for 2006. Published: Mon, 13 Mar 2006 11:14:19
